After having been appointed to be our Parish Priest on 25th November 2010,
The Revd. Linda Chapman has now been confirmed as Rector of the Parish,
inducted by the Right Revd. Bishop Stuart Robinson
on Sunday 21 August 2011 at a service in St John's Church
The Right Revd Stuart Robinson , our Bishop,
is the tenth Bishop of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn.

RECTORY RESTORATION
St John's Rectory has undergone major restoration, including roof
replacement. The work has had to be in accordance with Heritage standards.
A St John's Restoration Fund has been established under the aegis of the
National Trust. Donations of over $2 to the fund will be tax-deductible
The official launch was held on Friday 23rd July
Note that, although the work is almost completed, we have
had to borrow $20,000 to do this. Further tax-deductible
donations will help to repay this loan and replenish the capital fund

Eucharistic Healing Service at St John's
Each Thursday at 5.00 pm. This service is an intercession services for anyone
who wants prayers said for them or who has a loved one or a friend in need of prayers
for their well being. Please feel that you can join us in this service or leave the
Christian name of your friend or family member in the book provided.
"Know your Bible" meets on Mondays, 2 pm at St John's.

GREEN THUMBS STANDBY - Garden Expo
This year St Peter’s Anglican College is celebrating its’ 10th year
and we as the Parish of Moruya played an integral part in its conception. We are celebrating
along with them this year in the form of a Car boot/trailer/Garden Expo on September 15th.
This will be followed by a Bush Dance in the early evening.
As we want this afternoon event to be a special celebration we are putting parishioners
on alert for various tasks towards this.
Parishioners with green thumbs are asked if they would prepare
now by propagating plants for the Spring.
