Children, pregnant women and the elderly are amongst those hardest hit in the humanitarian crisis caused by extreme drought conditions in the Horn of Africa. The drought is said to be the worst in 60 years and is affecting more than 10 million people. Around 60 per cent of the many children arriving in refugee camps in Kenya are suffering from acute malnutrition.
